The Auditorium Project at L&T Technology Services (LTTS), Vadodara, Gujarat, involved the complete design, supply, installation, integration, testing, and commissioning of a state-of-the-art Audio-Visual (AV) and Unified Communication (UC) solution for a modern multipurpose auditorium. The facility was designed to support conferences, seminars, training sessions, corporate events, hybrid meetings, live streaming, and large-scale presentations with exceptional audio-visual performance.
SI secured the project after a rigorous technical evaluation by LTTS, outperforming several leading AV system integrators based on solution design, technical capabilities, and proven experience in executing similar large-scale projects.
Designed with reliability, scalability, and ease of operation in mind, the auditorium provides a centralized and intuitive user experience while ensuring future readiness. The solution has transformed the space into a premium collaboration and event venue, capable of supporting executive meetings, town halls, training programs, and corporate presentations with superior audio quality, immersive visuals, and long-term operational efficiency.
What did the client want to achieve?
LTTS aimed to develop a modern, technology-enabled auditorium that would serve as a versatile venue for corporate meetings, conferences, training programs, seminars, town halls, and hybrid events. A key requirement was the flexibility to operate the auditorium in two separate sections in individual modes by using a retractable partition, allowing each section to function independently for smaller events, as well as in combined mode with partition retracted, enabling multiple sections to be seamlessly integrated into a single large venue for major gatherings.
The client required a fully integrated Audio-Visual and Unified Communication solution that offered crystal-clear speech reinforcement, high-definition visual display,BYOM and Microsoft Teams-based video conferencing. Ease of operation was a key requirement, with centralized control allowing users to manage all AV equipment through an intuitive interface without technical assistance.
The overall goal was to create a professional, high-performance auditorium that enhances collaboration, improves user experience, and supports the organization’s evolving communication and training needs while maintaining operational efficiency.
Scope of work your company was involved in
SI was responsible for the end-to-end execution of the auditorium’s Audio-Visual and Unified Communication (AV & UC) solution, including system design validation, supply, installation, integration, programming, testing, commissioning, user training, and post-installation support.
A key aspect of the project was the integration of the auditorium to operate in both individual mode and combined mode. SI designed and programmed the AV control logic to enable independent operation of each auditorium section or seamless integration into a single large venue, ensuring synchronized audio, video, display, conferencing, and control across all spaces.
The project also involved complete structured cabling, equipment rack installation, network integration, system programming, functional testing, performance optimization, documentation, operator training, and successful handover. The delivered solution provides a reliable, scalable, and user-friendly AV infrastructure capable of supporting presentations, training programs, conferences, board meetings, and hybrid events with exceptional audio and video performance.
What key challenges were faced?
The project involved several technical and execution challenges that required careful planning and close coordination with multiple stakeholders. The primary challenges was integrating multiple Audio-Visual and Unified Communication technologies into a seamless, centrally managed solution while ensuring high reliability and ease of operation.
A significant requirement was enabling the auditorium to function in both individual mode and combined mode. This required complex programming and synchronization of audio, video, display, conferencing, and control systems so that each auditorium could operate independently or merge seamlessly into a single large venue without compromising performance or user experience.
Another challenge was implementing a digital audio network to deliver consistent, echo-free audio with precise microphone routing and minimal latency across different operational modes. Integrating Microsoft Teams Room conferencing, wireless presentation, PTZ camera automation, and centralized control into a unified user interface also required extensive system configuration and interoperability testing.
How were the challenges resolved?
The project team adopted a structured engineering and integration approach to address the technical and operational challenges. Detailed system design reviews, interoperability testing, and coordinated implementation ensured seamless integration of all Audio-Visual and Unified Communication components into a single, centrally managed platform.
The system was designed to automatically switch audio, video, display, conferencing, and control functions based on the selected room configuration, ensuring consistent performance and simple user experience in every operating mode.
A digital audio architecture was implemented to provide flexible microphone routing, low-latency audio transport, and consistent sound reinforcement across all auditorium configurations. Extensive calibration, acoustic tuning, and signal optimization were carried out to achieve clear, echo-free audio throughout the venue.
Integration of Microsoft Teams Room conferencing,PTZ cameras, LED display, and centralized control was validated through comprehensive interoperability and user acceptance testing. Installation activities were carefully planned and executed in phases to minimize disruption to the client’s operations.

The delivered solution has transformed the client’s auditorium into a modern, intelligent, and highly flexible collaboration space capable of supporting conferences, training programs, seminars, town halls, and hybrid events with exceptional audio and visual quality.
The ability to operate the auditorium in both individual mode and combined mode has significantly enhanced space utilization. This has improved meeting efficiency, reduced setup time, and enhanced the overall user experience.
High-quality audio reinforcement, seamless 4K video distribution, and intuitive control have created a professional environment for both in-person and remote collaboration.
Overall, the project has provided the client with a future-ready auditorium that increases operational efficiency, supports diverse event requirements, improves collaboration across locations, and delivers superior experience for presenters, participants, and administrators alike. Additionally LTTS is now organizing many events which used to be organized in Hotels and expensive venues, in this newly commissioned auditorium saving huge costs and also improving productivity.
What are you most proud of about the project?
We are most proud of successfully engineering and delivering a highly intelligent, flexible, and acoustically optimized auditorium where the audio experience is as seamless as the visual experience.
The audio system was carefully designed to ensure uniform sound coverage, excellent speech intelligibility, and consistent audio quality throughout the venue. Through detailed acoustic planning, precise loudspeaker placement, digital signal processing (DSP) tuning, microphone optimization, echo control, and feedback suppression, we achieved natural, distortion-free audio for presenters and audiences alike.
A key accomplishment was enabling automatic audio routing and microphone management when the auditoriums are combined or separated, ensuring smooth transitions without manual intervention.
The result is a future-ready auditorium that delivers outstanding speech clarity, reliable conferencing, and exceptional user experience, demonstrating expertise of SI in designing complex, enterprise-grade AV and audio solutions.
